Hey bloggies, I found out about this HP website and it's pretty cool, most of you probably already know about it but I thought I should recommend it to you anyways. It's called Pottermore and it's a website that J.K.R made for us Harry Potter fans. Pottermore is an interactive game that lets you get sorted, buy your Hogwarts things and go to class like potions and History. There's also a dueling club where you can earn points for your house if you win the duel. You can also explore Harry's adventures throughout his six years at Hogwarts and they are currently updating the Deathly Hallows adventure. Back On Track!!! Harry Potter questions.

Hello bloggies! I apologize for the huge gap in posts, I guarantee that I will post more often now. This post is for all those new Harry Potter fans who have a bunch of questions about the series. I know that when I was new to Harry Potter I had millions of questions, so now I'm going to answer all of yours! If you have any questions about Harry Potter please comment them below and I'll be sure to answer them right away! (Some of these questions, JK. Rowling answered.)

1. Why wasn't the Horcrux in Harry destroyed when he was bitten by the Basilisk?
           J.K. Rowling says: The Horcrux has to be destroyed BEYOND REPAIR, so Harry would need to die.

2. Who did Neville marry?
Neville married Hannah Abbot from Hufflepuff. Most fans thought he would marry Luna but he didn't. (I still ship Leville though.)

3. What about Draco?
J.K. Rowling says that she didn't like Pansy Parkinson so instead Draco married Astoria Greengrass, Daphne's younger sister. (There's a link at the end to some of the wizard family trees)

4. How did the death eaters find harry in the cafe?
         They used Voldemort's name while they were there, not realizing it was Taboo. This alerted the Ministry (aka Death Eater's) to their location.

5. Was Stan Shunpike a death eater?
          No, he was under the imperius curse. The evidence for that is that J.K. Rowling describes Stan as having unusual eyes--I don't know the exact word she used, but he had "blank"or"glassy" eyes or something like that, and we've seen that sort of blank stare on people who've been imperiused.

6. What would happen in a quidditch game where a player other than the seeker catches the snitch?
        This was answered on Pottermore ,the player who catches the snitch (other than the seeker) would be disqualified.

7. What happened to Fred's hand after he died?
        J.K.R. said that it fell off and George wore it around his neck.

8. Was Nagini the boa constricter Harry set free in the first book?
        No, Nagini is some type of viper while the snake in the zoo was a boa constrictor.

9. What happened to Ariana Dumbledore?
       She was attacked by three muggle boys who saw her doing magic, she was traumatized to the point where her magic was uncontrollable.

10. Why couldn't Harry see the Threstrals before Cedric died?
      J.K.R. says that he was only a baby and couldn't remember it as well.

Awesome facts about Severus Snape

These facts came from the snape biography J.K. Rowling wrote.  Enjoy :)

• Snape taught Potions because he was based on JKR's chemistry teacher, John Nettleship, who she didn't like at all.

• Rowling borrowed Snape's surname from the village of Snape, Suffolk.  

• Snape was one of JKR's favourite characters to write.  

• Because Snape abandoned his post as headmaster, a portrait of him did not immediately appear in the Headmaster's office after his death. Harry installed Snape's portrait in the Headmater's office after the war.

• JKR had planned Snape's back story ever since she wrote the first book because the whole series is built around it  

• Rita Skeeter published a book about Snape's life, entitled "Snape: Scoundrel or Saint?", sometime after his death.

• Severus means “stern” in Latin. :P

• Snape is one of the youngest teachers to be recruited at Hogwarts school.

• Lily Evans may have grown to love Snape if he wasn't so drawn to the Dark Arts. 

• Snape's role:
  told Voldemort of the prophecy -> begged Voldemort to spare Lily -> leading to her sacrifice for Harry -> forcing the protection that protected Harry for so long -> led to Voldemort's death. So technically, Snape killed Voldemort. :)

• Snape is the only Death Eater who could conjure a Patronus. 

• Alan Rickman was the only actor who knew about his character's fate way before the 7th book was released.

• Dumbledore allowed Snape to be a horrible teacher because he believed there are lessons in life & horrible teachers are one of them. 

• Dumbledore never gave Snape the DADA job before book 6 because he was afraid it would bring out the worst in Snape.  

• Severus Snape's last words to Harry were "Look at me" to see Lily Evans' eyes one more time before he died. 

• Harry gave one of his sons the middle name Severus, and this son was the only one who had Lily's exact eyes.
